On Economic Abuse Awareness Day, it’s time to confront a sobering reality: Australia’s child support system is leaving hundreds of thousands of children and single mothers in financial limbo. Worse, it’s being weaponised by former partners to perpetuate economic abuse, keeping survivors of domestic violence tethered to their abusers.
